Brendan J. Smith

Chief Executive Officer and Founder
Brendan Smith oversees all aspects of the operations of the Company with a focus on new business development,
strategic relationships, design and technology. Prior to founding Motive Interactive, Mr. Smith served as Senior
Business Development Manager for NetCreations, Inc., a leading opt-in email marketing company. At NetCreations,
he built a team responsible for developing business opportunities with strategic partners, such as MSNBC, CNET,
ZDNet, Tech Republic, and Tech Target.
Prior to NetCreations, Brendan was a successful entrepreneur responsible for building several distinct and profitable
internet businesses. These travel, technology, and survey based web sites have been featured in many national
publications and websites, including Travel + Leisure Magazine, Coastal Living, The New York Times, New York Post,
New York Magazine, The Washington Post, Denver Post, Concierge.com, lonelyplanet.com, and fodors.com to name a few.
Brendan is a founding member of the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) Lead Generation Committee, Performance
Marketing Alliance (PMA) and The Online Lead Generation Association (OLGA). He has been recognized as one of the top
entrepreneurs in Nevada, California, and New York. Brendan graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelor of
Arts degree in History.
Colin Johnson

Founder
Colin plays a key role in the company’s overall management,
with his primary focus being in the marketing and sales areas. Colin takes the lead in expanding new client
relationships, and formulating Motive’s vision and mission. His passion is structuring exclusive partnerships with
Publishers who have developed unique websites and want to fully monetize their businesses. If this describes you,

Before starting his own business, Colin was a Senior Sales Executive at NetCreations Inc, where he successfully
built revenue streams within various online vertical markets. At NetCreations, he managed some of the company’s
biggest clients including American Express, E-Loan, Goto.com and Pet Smart.
Another one of Colin’s passions is soccer, and he once played for the Wilmington Hammerheads in the U.S.L. He
holds a BS in Management from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
Sean E. Duggan

Chairman and Chief Financial Officer
Sean E. Duggan’s primary focus at Motive is strategy development and implementation. He also oversees the
Company’s finances, investor relations, and legal affairs. Together with Brendan and Colin, Sean crafts strategic
relationships with other organizations that accelerate the Company’s growth.
Prior to joining Motive, Sean spent twelve years in Seattle working as an Internet Management Consultant with both
large companies (MSN, AOL, Yahoo!) and start-ups (Virtual Countries, LiveBid.com, IAM Online). He also taught
Strategic Planning and Business Policy to second year MBA students at the University of Washington’s Graduate
School of Business.
Prior to consulting, Sean was Corporate Vice President and General Manager of a $250 million division of the
Continental Can Company. Before Continental, he was Vice President of International Operations for Bausch &
Lomb, Inc., where he managed three brands that were the global leaders in their categories (contact lenses, eyecare
solutions, and Ray-Ban sunglasses).
Sean began his business career in Display Advertising with the
Los Angeles Times. He received his MBA degree in Marketing from the Anderson Graduate School of
Management at UCLA. He has served his country in both the United States Marine Corps and AmeriCorps.
Mohammed J. Kabir
Chief Technology Executive and Board Advisor
Mohammed J. Kabir serves as Motive’s primary technology executive and advisor. Kabir has been developing sophisticated
web-based applications for over ten years, as a recognized expert in open source programming he has written twelve books on
the topic.
Prior to success as an entrepreneur and author, Kabir served as co-founder and CTO of INTEVO, Inc. a venture funded startup
that worked with top advertising agencies including Grey Advertising and Beyond Interactive to develop an enterprise class
database profiling and e-mail marketing engine. Prior to INTEVO, he co-founded Integration Logic, Inc. which provided open
source consulting services to major companies including, Lucent, Blue Cross, Centocor Pharmaceuticals and Edelman Public
Relations.
Mike Schwartzberg
Vice President, Sales
Mike was one of the first employees of Motive and has been instrumental in the Company's growth. As Director of
Sales, Mike manages all aspects of the Company’s day-to-day sales activities, including our sales force and account
managers.
Prior to joining Motive, Mike was a teacher in Northern Nevada. He believes that the experience he gained in this
capacity prepared him for the unique challenges of working with advertisers and publishers in the interactive media
space. Mike is a graduate of Cortland State University in New York.
John Teotico
Vice President, Finance
As VP Administration and Controller, John manages all of the day-to-day
financial, administrative, and human resource functions of the Company.
Prior to Motive Interactive, John had been involved in a CFO or Controller
capacity in a variety of industries including technology, pharmaceuticals,
and e-commerce, most recently for a leading automotive buying portal and
consumer information website. Many of the companies John has been associated
with have either had a successful IPO or been acquired. John received his
bachelors degree in Accounting from San Diego State University.
